We booked this for our party of 4 on 1/21/24, for Fri 1/26 to Mon 1/29. Family funeral. Between planes in Dallas Friday, Vacasa sent this text: “Hello, this is a message from Vacasa. San Clemente will be having a planned power outage from Sunday 1/28 between 7:30 pm and 6am. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Have a great stay!” Space does not permit me to show the entire text exchange, but we came away convinced that Vacasa had no interest in our problem. Returning to the condo 1/28 we found a cheap LED flashlight at the door. We spent our last night without light, heat, TV, internet, and for me, no CPAP. Homeowners were notified 1/12 about the blackout, more than a week before we reserved the property. This property should never have been available for 1/28. We reserved it in good faith and only after cancellation was impossible were we informed of the blackout. Vacasa offered us no accommodation, either in the form of an alternative property or monetary consideration.

Always a great stay with a Vacasa place. This location is wonderful and so close to the beach. The only downside to this one is that Netflix no longer works on the provided devices, but everything else was perfect.
