House was large, private and centrally located to explore Mornington Peninsular. Beach was right across the road and lovely coffee shop 2 minute walk away. Unfortunately it was cold when we arrived and house took a while to warm up. There are oil heaters and heat pumps but the heat pumps are pretty noisy and some areas remained cold (bathroom entrance & floors). Imagine it wouldn’t be a problem in summer months. The bunk room has no door and the second lounge is through a bedroom. Not a big deal but not obvious from the photos. Would suit large groups as can sleep up to 12 people and kitchen and lounge are a good size. Overall the house was fine for our needs but I think we could have done better with the amount of offerings in the area.
Great place to stay and was a real beach house which is a change from the modern type places.
After 7 years of trying to find a place that we love, we have finally done it. The Anchorage will be our “go to” place in January for as long as we have access to it. Already booked it for next year.
