Corner Brook has some of the nicest scenery on the west coast of the island, several lookout areas will give you a panoramic view of the city; Captain James Cook Historic Site as well as a pullover off the TCH just west of exit 6 heading west which will be a view over the city from the opposite side.
Corner Brook stream network is another gem especially a stroll around Glyn mill Pond, there are benches in different areas around the pond to sit, relax or feed the ducks and swans.
The railway museum off Riverside drive is another interesting piece of NL history where they have a number of rail cars sitting on the narrow-gauge rails.
Take a walk down West Street stop in for a bite to eat or stop by one of the mini breweries in the area.
Marble Mountain a twelve-minute drive from Corner Brook has a Zip line consisting of nine lines and takes about two hours to complete, one run will take you right over the falls, what a rush.
The mountain also has some of the best downhill skiing east of Montreal, people flock from all over to enjoy the hill.

Getting around isn't too difficult, if you are staying somewhere in the townsite area leave the vehicle parked and walk around the downtown. Summer tourism season can be somewhat of an issue but there is always a solution just around the next corner.
