I live as eco-friendly as possible and re-use and re-cycle a lot. The garden room was built using local labour and re-used materials. - it has a modern compost toilet inside and a hot and cold shower not far away. My way of life is very simple and I go with the rhythm of the seasons as much as I can. I have frogs and toads in the pond and also have many lizards, birds, gecko's and tortoises living in harmony. There is also an abundance of indigenous wild flowers on the site. breakfast incl. This new room is in the middle of the olive grove with its own private garden,quiet and in middle of nature.

We had a lovely stay with Diane. The location and space are magical, it’s an authentic, rustic escape into nature. Diane is everything you could hope for in a host. She is warm, kind and very helpful and her breakfast jams are delicious. Hope to come again soon!!!

If you love nature, peace and quiet, and enjoy living an eco-friendly lifestyle, Diane's place is what you're looking for. We loved our 4-night stay — Diane is a lovely, responsive and helpful host and we enjoyed our conversations with her over breakfast of homemade jams (one morning she even made us pancakes!). The views to the sea, especially during sunsets, are stunning. There are three great tavernas in walking distance, plenty of beaches and mountains nearby along with beautiful villages and historical sites; Kalamata is also just 25 min (definitely need a car in this area). Diane has a little cabin in the olive grove, a beautifully decorated and spacious yurt, and a tiny treehouse with an exceptional view. We stayed in the little cabin made of recycled materials and enjoyed sitting in the olive grove and waking up surrounded by nature. As the cabin is a bit open to the elements of nature, you need to be okay with insects coming in and using a compost toilet.

This is a farming community and the nearest shop is by the sea,it's a friendly area with 3 tavernas with fresh cooked local meat and veg. in the village which is 5 mins walk away.
I suggest hiring a vehicle.unless you are a good walker. buses are only 2 a day. though I can take you places if you cover my petrol.

I love my garden and surroundings in the nature, cant imagine living in a 'real house' .I like cooking and making preserves, happy to show you some of my recipes, or teach you.
