The location alone and comfort of the room is deserving of 5 stars. Just next to the heart of the city, Hoan Kiem lake. Room was spotless and comfortable, with everything i needed for my time in Hanoi. Washer and dryer were top notch - best laundry i've done in 4 months of travelling - clean, fresh and dry by the end of the cycles. The host was really helpful, even getting his brother to bring my luggage up the 4 flights of stairs late at night so I wouldn't have to. Be warned the entrance to the apartment looks sketchy, especially if you're arriving at night like I was. As with most places in Vietnam, there's some smells and grime in the streets that might turn you off. Once inside, the place was really charming, clean and cozy. One downside for me was the balcony and bathroom could have been a bit cleaner (limescale and grout mold). This was common everywhere I stayed in SE Asia and chalked it up to being difficult to maintain with the heat and humidity.

Thao’s accommodation was very clean and welcoming which made our stay very easy with no issues whatsoever. Perfect location with just a couple minutes away from the lake and a short walk from the centre. Lots of food options, coffee shops and things to do around and a convenient store round the corner from the accommodation. Only thing for us to look out for was the shower pressure was a bit weak but it did the job as a shower should. Also it’s on the fourth floor so if you have heavy/larger luggage it could be a bit of a workout bringing them up! However, was not an issue for us at all and overall pleased with our stay here and would recommend :)

Very convenient place to stay at, it’s super close to everything. It is very busy street but as the rooms are to the inside there isn’t any noise at all! The room was clean, the bed comfy and the bedding really soft. Air conditioning works perfect. And Thao was really helpful to us, I recommend this place totally!

Great location near old quarter . 3 minutes walk to the lake Clean and neat . If I’m back in Hanoi again will definitely book.
