Invergarry is ideally placed for visiting the Isle of Skye which is linked to the mainland by a road bridge, but it is still possible to take a ferry from Glenelg over the short crossing to Skye during Easter to October.
Fort William, The Outdoor Capital of the UK, is a forty minute drive south and a great area for all outdoor activities and snowsports. It is also home to our highest mountain, Ben Nevis. The Scottish Six Day Trials and the Mountain Bike World Cup are held here annually.
Loch Ness is just seven miles away with the pretty canal-side village of Fort Augustus well worth a visit. Loch Oich, Loch Ness and Loch Lochy form part of the Caledonian Canal considered by many to be one of the greatest waterways in the world. It stretches from Inverness to Corpach connecting the North Sea with the Atlantic Ocean.
Getting to Invergarry is easy: situated just off the A82 between Fort William and Fort Augustus and about a one hour drive from Inverness airport. A regular inter-city bus service runs nearby, while daily buses to and from Skye stop just down the road
