We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean, bright and cozy. Matthew was very responsive, kind and accommodating. The view of the La Have River and the living room fireplace helped make this a great choice for a winter getaway!

What a great spot! It was bright and cozy and had everything we needed. We travelled with my parents (70s) and two teenagers, and the house was a hit with all of us. The living room was spacious yet cozy and had beautiful lighting and a gorgeous view of the LaHave river. There was space for everyone to retreat to for downtime, but also provided cozy quarters to gather and enjoy each others company. The couch and fireplace were our favorites :) The house is well situated for adventures. We toured around Lunenburg and Kingsburg (Hirtles Beach/Gaff Point hiking trail) one day and took the ferry across to LaHave (bakery, Cresent Beach, LaHave islands and Rissers) the next day. We're happy that we arrived earlier in the evening on Friday in order to take advantage of the space. Matthew was very helpful and checked in a few times during the stay to make sure all was well. I highly recommend the LaHave Lodge!

I recently had the pleasure of spending a memorable two-day stay at Matthew's cottage with a group of friends, and I can confidently say that it was a fantastic experience. The cottage was clean, and the amenities, including a TV, appliances, board games, detergents, and a hot tub, impressed us. The beautiful yard added to the charm of the property, and the warmth of the house made our 2024 commencement celebration truly special. Matthew's hospitality and attention to detail made us feel like home. I highly recommend Matthew's cottage for anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable getaway.
