We were so elated to stay in Sonia’s beautiful space! A real gem of the outback with scenic views just outside the front door. Sonia brings an amazing energy and her introduction was fantastic.

Staying at Desert Hideaway was such a treat. The place is exactly what it looks like in photos and the ambience is amazing. What an experience to sleep underground and look out over the vista of the outback. Sonia is lovely and very friendly. Recommend making the trip up to White Cliffs.

White Cliffs is a special place. The Hideaway is appropriately named but Sonia is a wonderful friendly host, and she’ll meet you and guide you there. We shared a glass of wine on arrival, a necessity after the long hot drive, and Sonia told us many interesting and fascinating things about White Cliffs. The Hideaway is truly the most unique place I have stayed - and I slept so soundly, perhaps something about being underground and nurtured by Mother Earth - I wished I’d stayed two nights. Also, make sure you do the White House tour, ask Sonia about it - it’s only $15 pp but well worth it. Incredible and unique art and architecture. And if you want to buy some opals, go to Southern Cross opals just down the road from Sonia’s Hideaway - friendly and helpful.
