JC was a great host and everything was just as I imagined. Cozy camp, quiet location on a beautiful lake. The house was stocked with everything I needed and JC was very responsive with any questions I had. I hope to be back!

We had planned a relaxing mini vacation and JC’s camp met all of our needs. Beautiful surroundings right on lake with Mountain View. Many extras-kayaks, canoe, fire pit. The camp was cozy and fully stocked with needed items. We hiked, had a fire in the fire pit on the beach, played cards, read and relaxed. Our dog enjoyed swimming in the lake and hiking. I would highly recommend JC’s place as a wonderful vacation spot. We hope to return again!

A great place to be in late September! JC's vintage camp checked all of our boxes: Easy launch for kayaks and a peaceful lake to explore; comfortable sprawl-out sofas with plenty of reading lamps; a convenient yard for the dog's tie-out; quiet roads to walk/run; plenty of windows looking out over a beautiful view; reliable Wi-Fi; a friendly, responsive host. The screened-in porch with its clothesline and drying rack was an appreciated bonus.

The "Camp" was exactly as described. While it is a rustic cabin, it has all the necessary creature comforts we needed. It is easy to get to, but yet secluded, quiet and peaceful once you are there. The furnishings were all vintage of a time gone by, and made our stay feel nostalgic, bringing back memories of our childhood growing up in New England. Fancy it is not; but warm, homey, quaint and welcoming it is. Also the internet was reliable, and fast. JC was a great host, keeping in touch with us during our stay, and making sure all was going well. Provided you are looking for a rustic cabin / camp on a lakefront, this is your place !

Beautiful spot on a beautiful Lake. Highly recommend. It is definitely a "Camp" as is clearly described, and that's exactly what we were looking for, but if you are looking for a posh lake house look elsewhere. The beach area is great with kids, it stays shallow for a long ways out and the water is very clean. We had a blast with the puzzles and board games, the front room with a wall of windows overlooking the lake was where we spent all our time when we were inside but we spent most time in and on the water. Seymour is a great lake for water sports and fishing. JC was an excellent host, very responsive, attentive, and helpful.
