The Waterfront Precinct is the ideal holiday location when visiting Darwin. It's the perfect destination and is hard to beat, as everything you could want is within view.
Straight down the lift to the ground level and you have direct access to restaurants, cafes, retail shops, hair and beauty salons, convenience supermarket, plus many sightseeing attractions. The lagoon offers a refreshing dip for travelers, with an exercise swimming course as well as an inflatable amusement for the kids.
The Wave pool is also another popular spot for families with children, relax under the shade of the umbrellas whilst the kids play amongst the waves. Tickets for the Wave pool can be purchased from the kiosk next to The Precinct Bar and Restaurant.
Guests visiting for conferences or corporate functions at the Darwin Convention Centre, this is the perfect location as it's across from the centre and within walking distance. Stokes Hill Wharf is also across the water from the apartment and contains more food stalls, variety of options as well as the Royal Flying Doctor Service Tourist Facility - something worth visiting with the family. The World WarII Oil Storage Tunnels are also another historic sightseeing adventure, which are also located across the road from the apartment. Take the Skybridge up to the city, only 10 minutes walk and you're within the CBD.

If you're planning on exploring the neighbourhood during your stay, there are several options available to help you get around. Walking is a very convenient and easy way to see the Waterfront and Darwin, as well as other transportation options in the area:
~ Beam Scooters and Bikes: Neuron is a popular electric scooter and bike rental service available in the area. You can easily download the Beam app on your smartphone and use it to locate and rent a scooter or bike. They're a great way to explore the city and get some exercise at the same time.
~ Free Darwin Waterfront Shuttle Bus: The Darwin Waterfront Shuttle Bus is a free service that operates daily between 10am and 4pm. It runs every 30 minutes and stops at various locations around the Darwin Waterfront precinct, including the Wave Lagoon, Stokes Hill Wharf, and the Darwin Convention Centre.
~ Local Bus Service: The public bus services run throughout the day and cover most of the major areas in the city and out to Palmerston. You can find more information about routes and timetables on the Northern Territory Government respective websites.
Taxis: Taxis are widely available in the area and can be hailed on the street or booked through the respective taxi companies. They're a great option if you need to get somewhere quickly or if you're travelling with a group.
Ride Share Apps: Ride-sharing apps like Uber are also available in the area. They're a convenient way to get around and can be booked using your smartphone.
