Mikael’s home is a total gem. There are so many great things about this rental. The beautiful view is the best I’ve ever enjoyed from an Airbnb. Like another reviewer commented, you might have a hard time leaving the lanai because you’ll be captivated by the gorgeous landscape that you can take in from one of Mikael’s comfy outdoor lounge chairs, snuggled up with a cozy blanket and a glass of wine. Another notable feature of this rental is the kitchen. It was well stocked with all the tools we needed to cook. And added bonuses like sharp knives, a rice cooker, the espresso machine, beautiful dishes, plenty of containers to put your leftovers in… many things that other rentals lack. The house was clean and nicely furnished. We had a lovely vacation here and hope to come back one day!

If you are thinking of staying at Mikael’s place, definitely do!!! This place is awesome. This is one of the best Airbnbs that we have stayed in. Beautiful house and great neighborhood. The views from the porch are amazing! Mikael is a wonderful host and communicated extremely well. The house is very clean and we felt at home here. We loved The Big Island and hope to be back!

This is the best property we have stayed since we started to use Airbnb 8 years ago. If you have the right budget and need a leeward side base for explore the big island, look no further. The unit may not be the largest or most private we saw before (two people lived downstairs, although they did not bother us). But the house design goes perfectly with the beautiful surroundings, which creates a surreal and romantic atmosphere. There is a well-maintained lawn and tropical gardens in front. The danger of staying here is that you may want to sit on the huge deck all day and forget what you come here for. The pictures in the listing don’t do it justice. You have to get here to appreciate . The kitchen was very well stocked. We found everything we needed, except coffee (ironically this area is famous for its Kona coffee). But there is a very popular place for breakfast and coffee one minute drive from here. Mikael the host is very quick in answering questions and resolve issues.

Das Haus ist wunderbar, die riesige Terrasse und der Hot tub sowie der große Grill machten den Abend zur Attraktion. Die Betten waren perfekt, wir schliefen wie zu Hause, Ich würde das Haus jedem Freund empfehlen und gerne wiederkommen. Danke Mikael

Mikael’s place was quite, peaceful, and serene. The views were impeccable. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and easy to navigate. There’s a lot of labels with instructions on practically everything so there is no way to misuse anything in the home. The acoustics of the location are true to the description - you can hear everything everywhere at all times. Whether it’s someone taking a conference call at 4 am daily in the apartment below you or someone in your party snoring all the way on the other side of the house - you will hear it - so be prepared. There were maintenance people there almost daily. We didn’t really use the hot tub because the color of the water looked off - which was then validated when someone came to replace the water on the day we left. Regardless though, the owner took care of it for the next patrons. Absolutely Beautiful location - I would return. Sunsets are perfect on the gorgeous lanai. The host was very communicative which was appreciated.
