David’s listing is a lot of fun/quirky. It would be the ideal spot if you were coming to Melbourne for sport/festival/event. You can walk to the MCG (I did), there are heaps of bars/restaurants and also amenities like a supermarket. Very clean and has a pool table! We’re new parents out of home because of insurance repairs so probably not quite that target market. We still had a great time, but parking is a problem. Technically there is free parking yes, but you have to keep moving your car. We ended up leaving our car at our own house in Richmond because it was getting difficult to keep moving it. Also, there is no wifi or laundry facilities. I booked in a rush so didn’t notice this but on review the hosts do make that clear on the listing. Overall great listing especially if you want to experience what Melbourne has to offer.
Cremorne is a vibrant inner-city suburb, only 2 kilometers from Melbourne's CBD. It is a wonderful mix of modern high-rises, converted warehouse and factory apartments, older single and double cottages, and modern townhouses.
Despite the proximity to the CBD, you don’t have to leave the neighborhood for shopping and restaurants. Cremorne's Swan Street is one of Melbourne's most popular shopping and dining strips and you'll find art galleries, cafes, restaurants, and bars packed into this small suburb. One of the more distinguished venues is the Cherry Tree Hotel, which dates back to 1860 and used to be the favoured drinking spot for the city's criminal element.
Cremorne is bordered on the north and east by Richmond, on the south by the Yarra River, and on the west by by the sprawling sports and entertainment area of Yarra Park.
Public transport is excellent and the area is well served by bike paths and is close to freeway on-ramps.

You can see East Richmond train station from your doorstep just a block away. This will whisk you into the City (2 stops) or Richmond Station (1 stop) which is the gateway to the MCG, AAMI Park and Rod Laver Arena. It is also the hub of all Eastern suburb train lines.
The 70 tram runs down nearby Swan street, also taking you into the City via Rod Laver and the MCG, then Birrarung Marr River park and onto Flinders Street and finally Docklands in a straight run.
The 48 tram at the end of your next street takes you upmarket into South Yarra's Chapel Street shopping, Jam Factory and Como cinemas then onto Windsor and Prahran for more gritty entertainment at Revolver and Vodka, Borscht and Tears. In the other direction, you can get to Victoria Street's little Saigon where Melbourne's best cheap and delicious Vietnamese restaurants await.
