Coachman’s Cove is an oceanside community situated on the Baie Verte Peninsula. It’s approximately 1 hour off the Trans-Canada Highway, heading North on Highway 410.
Explore this outport gem by scouring the shores, having a cook on one of the beautiful beaches, checking out the French shore & the bread oven, & taking a little hike on Cow Cove trail. And don’t hesitate to chat with the locals - you might get a chance to tag along for a ride out in boat, & perhaps catch a few fish!
Definitely make some room for day trips to check out the nearby communities. There’s plenty of wildlife to see - but watch out for the moose!
In Fleur de Lys (10 minute drive) there are some lovely scenic hiking trails that suit all capabilities: Spotted Point trail, Oceanview trail, the Hummocks. Stop into the Rattles swimming hole to cool off on those hot summer days. Drop by Sam’s Place (Samantha’s Saltwater Joys Museum & Cafe) for a dose of peace, love & light… and be sure to enjoy the home & heart-made eats and treats that are also good for the soul! Head down below to discover the Dorset Museum & Shelley’s Island. And if all that exploring has made you thirsty, you might as well drop into Lambert’s Landing & see what’s on the go - there’s always a smiling face to be seen & a good yarn to be had!

Having your own personal vehicle is a necessity. Ample parking for 2 or 3 vehicles at the house.
There is no store in town. The closest one is Bob’s Foodex in Fleur de Lys, or Baie Verte has several options.
