We could not stay in this airbnb because it was not properly clean, sofas were dirty with stains and smelly, the curtains were dirty and in bad conditions, the walls and the bigger bedroom had an unpleasant smell. I don't know how can someone stay with those conditions. The host should check the places before check in. We informed the host about our situation to see if we could get an alternative place but he said that no, and never got back to us! We flew to Pretoria for the weekend and we found ourselves in that situation without having anywhere else available due to a concert in the area. We asked the Airbnb support to assist instead of cancelling the reservation, trying to find a solution. I never got refunded and the host never picked up my phone calls while we were driving around looking for accommodation. It was a Very Bad experience!

We had a short stay, location is great, secure, close to main shopping center and good restaurants of Merlyn Maine, which was convenient as cutlery was a bit basic- we travel on business and fully prefer to cook vs. go out. Because we where there during short cold month, heat was definitely appreciated, which is not easy to find in the area. Jacobus's check-in instructions and communications where quick and precise, and we can recommend it for your consideration if you need a place in Pretoria.

Very easy and efficient check in. The location was great and the apartment was spotless. The host was very quick to reply. I will definitely stay again.
