Catherine was great from the start to end of trip. Catherine went out of her way to assist with a booking change and return items after our stay. The house was great with lots of toys for kids and enclosed back garden. Quiet area with lots of areas to explore. Overall a lovely stay.
Don’t know how I can do justice to Catherine and the pristine house in Dromod. Firstly Catherine was an amazing host, constant contact in the lead up to the stay, made check in so easy and the few questions we had after checking in we had a response in no time at all. As for the house itself- it’s a perfect family retreat and a true home away from home. Kitchen is super modern and has all anyone needs, bedrooms were super comfy and very spacious and living room is built for relaxxing on the evenings you don’t want be out and about. The garden too is built to chill and relax on the more sunny evenings- even though we only got a few. Finally the location itself is perfect, a friendly neighbourhood and village with a host of really good restaurants in walking distance. Lough Rynn Castle is 15 minutes away, Carrick on Shannon 20 and the beautiful forest park a half hour. As I said a beautiful home away from home and one we hope to visit again in the near future.
Stay was superb as weather was terrific and no bad experiences but made lots of good memories
We had a fabulous stay at Catherine's (Family of 4 - 2 kids under 8). The house was very well kept, had an abundance of dvd's and board games for both adults and kids. We found it to be a great location to explore the many lakes and rivers nearby (would need your own car), it was a great home away from home and very comfortable. The garden was great too, and has a bbq. The house is close to the train station and the village which has a few lovely bars and restaurants too. Catherine was great to deal with and was happy to give us tips on where to visit, and even gave us some great recommendations for Supping and Kayaking.
A great house very close to a lovely village. A good base to explore Leitrim and surrounding counties.
