The location and view is great! That’s about the only positive. The house is outdated, limited amenities in the kitchen (the worst I’ve seen at any rental I’ve been to), and the noise from the busy street was pretty loud. The house is right on Big Bear Blvd - non stop cars and the 2 main bedrooms face the street. New windows might help! The worst part is the cancellation policy! I’ve never been to an AirBnB that had such a strict policy. We had an emergency 3 months before our reservation and I would have lost $500 to cancel! They wouldn’t budge! The rental company kept referring me back to AirBnB and AirBnB kept referring me to the owner. But I never spoke with the owner, I had to deal only with the rental company!!! We ended up keeping the reservation so we didn’t lose our $500. This rental was not worth the money. I’ve rented tons of better houses in Big Bear. Lastly, it’s a 2-story house. I have no clue what/who lives on the bottom floor. It was closed up - kind of creepy.

The house was nice and well kept. The location wasn’t true to the listing. It’s stated ‘waterfront’ it is not. You have to cross a very, very BUSY highway to get to the beach. It stated it’s pet friendly but there’s no yard for the pet to be in. So if your pet has to go pee/poop, you’ll have to cross that very busy highway to get to the park. In my opinion it’s not very kid or per friendly. Cool Cabins was very responsive to our issues and the check in process was very smooth and easy. I would probably seek them out again to book just not this listing

My family and I had an amazing experience with our dogs here. It’s our first time having a short family vacation with our dogs and we didn’t know what to expect. We are very pleased with the service and can’t wait to go back. We hope that we can stay in this particular cabin again or another one similar with same type of amenities and close to the lake. Hopefully next time actually I would love a space right on the lake. The only complaint I have is the location is on a busy street and you have to walk across to get to the lake so I didn’t feel as safe walking across the street, but it was totally fine and we are in love with the cabin.
