The house is located close to beaches with Rossbeigh Beach being just less than a half an hours drive. This unusual beach juts out into the bay and guards the entrance to Castlemaine Harbour with fine views of the Dingle Mountains. Inch Beach is another popular beach on the Dingle Peninsula and stretches for five beautiful kilometres bordered by grassy dunes.
Killarney is renowned for its lively bars and music venues, some of the more popular include J. M. Reidy's, Murphy’s Bar, The Laurels, Courtney’s Bar, O’Connor’s Traditional Pub, The Killarney Grand amongst many more.
Local Hotels and Restaurants include the 5 Star Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa (1 minute walk), The 5 Star Hotel Europe, The Golden Nugget Bar & Restaurant and the Killarney Brewery (less than a 5 minute drive), The 5 Star Dunloe Castle Hotel and Kate Kearney’s (all within a few short minutes’ drive).
Instead of driving into Killarney take a healthy walk down a country road right outside your front door. This walk with stunning views of the lakes and mountains will take you to The Fossa Way and from there a walk into Killarney's National Park where there is an abundance of Killarney Red Deer. As well as lots of local wildlife there is plenty to explore in the National Park; Ross Castle where boat tours of the lakes begin, Muckross House and Gardens and lots more.
