The island of Ugljan is a picturesque location in the Zadar archipelago, located just a few nautical miles across the Zadar Channel from Zadar. It is well-connected to the mainland through reliable ferry services, which take around 20 minutes to complete the journey.
Ugljan offers a range of exciting activities for tourists, including diving and fishing in its rich underwater environment, as well as trekking and biking on the island's 50 km of scenic trails. With a population of around 7,500, the majority of inhabitants can be found in the tourist localities along the eastern side of the island, including Kukljica, Kali, Preko, Poljana, Sutomišćica, Lukoran, and Ugljan.

The Islands of Ugljan and Pašman are located within a short distance from the Zadar International Airport, with convenient and affordable flights available from over 30 European cities from March to October. These islands are easily accessible by ferries from Zadar to Preko on Ugljan and from Biograd to Tkon on Pašman, operated by Jadrolinija. The ferry rides take 15-25 minutes and run every hour during the summer season. You can purchase passenger and vehicle tickets at the Jadrolinija ferry company agencies located at the departure harbor. Biking is a great option for transportation on the islands and bikes can be arranged for you upon request, whether you prefer the city or mountain bikes.
