Very special place and a great host! Roopam went out of his way to make us feel welcome, catering our every need, organizing transportation, giving us hiking recommendations and being available night and day. We stayed in a forest hut. Facilities are basic but clean. Perfect for anyone who likes it adventurous.

I visited sonada forest at the end of May 2023 and had the wonderful opportunity to stay in one of the forest huts of Orion retreat Apart from the breathtaking forest view from my bedroom, I was also greeted with the warmest hospitality, clean simple food, and the basic necessities I needed to cut away from a busy city life to slow and simplify life Roopam and his team will make you feel right at home! Be warned that there are a lot of steps to and from the huts, which young active people won't mind to be honest I highly recommend orion retreats to travellers and families that want to catch away from the complexities of life for a while!
