The place was cozy and clean with beautiful views from both floors. The doors, windows and balcony open up to the beautiful valley of Pangoot. You'll get good sunlight right into the rooms from late morning to noon. The geyser is centralised and there was no issues in water supply. There were electricity cuts, but nothing bothersome. The parking space was 20 steps away from the property and with no intereference from day-to-day traffic. There are many tourist spots within 1 hour of travel time in many directions.

FROM WHERE TO START, HAD A G8 TIME @ OAK WOOD COTTAGE, STAFF IS SUPER RESPONSIVE, VIEW IS AWSOME, HAD A PEACEFUL STAY FOR 2 DAYS, FOOD IS FRESHLY PREPARED , HOST HAS GUIDED US ABOUT LOCAL SIGHT SEEING WHICH IS WORTHWHILE IF YOU LOVE TRECKING & LONG WALKS IN MOUNTAINS.... ONLY CONCERN IS APPROACH ROAD FROM PANGOOT IS OFF ROAD..AS IT IS COMPLETELY DIRT ROAD A STRETCH OF 3 KM.. REQUIRED GOOD DRIVING SKILLS & VEHICLE SHOULD BE UPDATED IN TERMS OF SERVICE CHECK UP....

We had a great stay here. Staff was helpful and up on feet to take care of all the needs. Caretaker make sure that you feel at home. We enjoyed homestyle food here. A round of applause to the Chef as he always meet in person to understand your taste and serve it accordingly. Must see menu before ordering as rate list wasn't there. Host was responsive, we reached Nainital late at night (11:30 p.m) due to which we couldn't travel to Pangot, a dense forest is in between the way from Nainital to Pangot. We waited till early morning near by lake in the car, Host did offer us to stay in his Nainital cottage or to send someone along with us for the way to listing. Host understood our situation and offered help. The only concern was electricity and water, several electricity and water cuts made it little challenging to stay but overall rest of the features covered it out. This could be a temporary issue too as the listing is newly constructed and they are trying to improve on the facilities.

This cottage is in a beautiful place surrounded by mountains and forest. Caretaker was helpful and have been a great host He is proactive when it comes to the service required for the stay. Staff is also polite and available for you to help. Pros- Beautiful views, nice and clean space, Home style food, Bonfire, reachable host, Peacefull Cons-Someone who is not friendly to drive in hills needs to be careful as this listing is in a forest setting. From Nainital to this cottage the exact location is 18 Kms out of which for only 5 to 6 kms you will find some local houses or resorts, after which there is a dense forest. I would advise to travel accordingly and reach there before late at night or before it gets too dark. There is almost 1.5 to 2 kms unconstructed road. Water and electricity has been a constant issue here. There were many power cuts, water was also a concern here as we had to request for it more than multiple times. Although that seems to be temporary as its a new cottage.
