The perfect location for a large gathering or holiday in Snowdonia, North Wales this charming 16th century house and cottage has been welcoming guests to Wales since the 13th century. Gwanas Fawr is made up of 2 cottages side by side. Ty Neuadd is a spacious cottage sitting inside the walls of an original medieval hall complete with a large lounge, a kitchen and a dining area with space for a large group to dine. Upstairs there is a bathroom, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom. There is also a downstairs toilet. Ty Trol is a cozy and welcoming cottage in a sympathetically converted cart house with a lounge and kitchen downstairs. Upstairs is a bathroom, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. Both cottages have log burning stoves. Opposite is the medieval long barn which has a table tennis table, air hockey and other games. There is also plenty of storage for bikes and other equipment and we provide a key.

Had a brilliant weekend, the place was absolutely as shown in the pictures. Well maintained, clean & equipped with everything you would need. The area is close to some great walks, I would recommend Craig Idris. Thanks to Robbie for hosting us, we will not doubt be back again in the future!

What a fantastic location and space. My friends and I came to stay for a weekend away from the stresses of real life and we had a fantastic time. The considerate little touches were so lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 10/10

Ideal property and location for our weekend of off road motorcycle ridding. The secure barn area was an unexpected bonus. The cottage was spotless and the host made us all really welcome. Can’t wait to visit again

We had a wonderful time staying at the two cottages. The cottages and surroundings were beautiful, even better in person. We really appreciated all the extra touches Robbie and Richard really have thought of everything. Highly recommend, one of our favorite Air BnB stays, would love to come again.

Situated down a farm track and over a small bridge Gwanas Fawr provides the perfect oasis for guests to relax , unwind and enjoy everything nature has to offer in the surrounding grounds and paddock. The night skies are spectacular too as the area is within a designated dark skies reserve.

Walks up the hill can start from your front door without needing to get in the car. As well as the magnificent Cadair Idris to climb very nearby there are other fantastic walks, both Torrent Walk and Precipice Walk a must.
