We stayed 2 nights during the 2024 Solar Eclipse. We were a group of 6 adults. We were so pleased with the overall interior of the house. The furniture is new and comfortable and the amount of furniture is adequate (with minor rearranging) for a group of 6. All of the rooms are pleasant and relaxing. There are a lot of nice touches throughout. The sun room and front porch were a hit with everyone. The bedrooms upstairs are not large (except the master), but there is furniture or built-ins in every room sufficient to store everything we brought.The bathroom is bright and new and big enough to be comfortable. We saw deer out the back windows every night we were there. If you are somewhat fit it is an easy walk to town. Mathew was very helpful and the local brews he kindly provided were a hit. We loved it and may very likely comeback.

Matthew’s house was just what we needed. Everything was excellent. Too bad there wasn’t very much snow in Maine this year. We would have loved to stay longer to snowmobile.

Matt was an excellent host. We were up for a guys snowmobile trip. Matt made sure that there was enough space cleared to park 2 trucks and trailers as well as 5 snowmobiles. He also had trail maps on the coffee table for us. The house was exactly as advertised and had easy access to the lake and surrounding trails. I will 100% try to rent from Matt next time we head to Moosehead Lake for Snowmobiling or ice fishing.

Matthew’s home was on a quiet street and very convenient to our hunting spots. The house was very clean and comfortable and would highly recommend.
