Hiraeth cottage is a cosy two bedroom cottage available to rent in South Wales. Nestled in a row of only 3 cottages overlooking the beautiful rolling Welsh valleys. There’s a comfortable living room, a fully fitted kitchen and a brand new bathroom. The front door of Hiraeth cottage leads into the living room, which has exposed local stone dating back to the late 1800’s, and views looking out onto the rolling Welsh hills. There’s a 4K 50” TV, films and some board games for evenings in. There’s a cottage kitchen equipped with all the essentials for you to cook a lovely meal on the electric hob, small electric oven, air fryer or microwave oven, and space to eat with table and chairs too. There’s a washing machine in the kitchen should you need it. Upstairs is the newly completed bathroom with a shower with great water pressure, or a bath if you’re looking to relax. There’s a single bedroom big enough for a comfortable stay. The single bedroom is complete with a lovely desk for any home workers or those looking to write in a lovely setting. The main bedroom has a very comfortable king sized bed, where you can see the uninterrupted views out of the window. The main bedroom has hanging space, drawers and a classic vintage dressing table. The space is cosy and equipped with everything you need to have a lovely stay in the stunning Welsh valleys.

Joe is really friendly and a great host, the cottage is in a very peaceful place with only a few neighbours. Joe left us a little care package with the basics you need for a cuppa, even a bottle of milk (and a bottle of soy milk for those who need it). The cottage has comfy beds, great shower, large tv for those rainy days (with Netflix available for you to use your own account). Great place will definitely stay again when we’re down there.

For the price we paid, myself and my two sons really enjoyed the miner’s cottage. Very comfortable and cwtchy, and made you relax! Joe was extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough to make sure we were comfortable. This home is in a very quiet Valley’s village with enough shops, pubs etc a short car journey. We will definitely come again.

Joe is a great guy and was very helpful. Only downside to the stay was Kitchen needs some work and not being able to cook much. Only 1 hob and an air fryer which is too small for a couple of people cooking a meal unfortunately.

Joseph is an incredibly friendly and responsive host, he went above and beyond expectations by adding some complimentary items to help me get settled in. He also went out of his way to ensure heating was switched on, especially as there has been stormy weather, this was a welcomed gesture especially after a 6 hour drive! His place is incredible clean and spacious, and even offers Apple TV! I didn't even need to unpack mine! A brilliant stay and would recommend to anyone!

There are only three other households in the street and all are friendly private people who will make you feel welcome as a visitor to their row.
Please note there are steps up to the front door and the bathroom, toilet and bedrooms are on the first floor so property may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.

Very close to A4119 by pass to Rhondda or M4 junction 34 (5 miles).
Rock UK Climbing Centre, Bike Park Wales, Zip world all within half an hour.
