Marg's place is very comfortable, very clean and thoughtful touches. Her generosity is amazing, the house is very comfortable on a cold night. The village of Westbury is a welcoming place. Can't recommend more highly. We will be coming back.
Such a beautiful home for the week. We didn't want to leave. Kitchen has everything, the surrounding birdlife, gardens, and even a pademelon one morning, just made this lovely stay in Westbury a perfect and romantic holiday. Meet and Ian are lovely people and share some of their wonderful garden produce with you, depending on what's in season. Fantastic!!!
Marg and Ian were excellent hosts, prompt communication from start to finish. Property was quiet, spotless, calming and very comfortable. Marg picked us fresh apples and blackberries, along with all the listed items described on her site. The carbon footprint concept of this build worked very well. A perfect start to our holiday 😀

Beautiful, peaceful, and private! The gardens are gorgeous. Exactly what my husband and I needed. The cottage was so lovely and well kitted out. Marg was the perfect hostess - when she knew we needed a romantic weekend, she gave us ultimate privacy.

Ian and I are retired teachers and this property is our retirement "project"! We were looking for 1 acre, north facing, gentle slope, close to amenities etc (and I had "bicycle ride to a cappachino" on my list as well. ) Long story, but the block of 12 acres found us! We built in stages: shed, workshop, garage, somewhere to live while we built the main house, landscaping, tree planting, walled garden, summer house, labyrinth and have started my "she cave" recently. The main house is nearly finished , however the whole project is still a work in progress. We are still teaching and sharing information with others who want to reduce their heating costs, grow their own food and leave a smaller footprint on our planet. Life is pretty full and we feel blessed to have this opportunity to share our lifestyle with others.
