Relax with the friends & family at this peaceful place to stay. If you don’t want to drive it’s close to the trolley that takes you all over the county; downtown, shopping, convention center, and stadiums. 10 minutes from downtown San Diego, 25 min to beaches, and 45 min to the mountains. Relax on the front porch with drinks or eating at the bistro table, the front yard is fenced for kids to play, and WiFi. There is a playpen upon request. Rhett the desert tortoise awaits! Its a lockoff. The front porch is an inviting place to relax or watch children play. As you come into the front door, the living and kitchen are right there. The couch has a pull-out very comfortable full size bed. Down the hall are 2 bedrooms on the right (both have pull down/up blinds) and the bathroom on the left with a tub/shower and plenty of shelves. Books, movies, toys available for the kids. There is a playpen upon request. Tell us how old the children are so we can provide them with things they’d enjoy.

I was traveling with TWO TODDLERS, this house, although small, SUPER COZY!!! And the enclosed YARD made it ideal for these two to burn some energy. Host was exceptional!!! Paid attention to detail, so sweet and thoughtful! would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the cottage for anyone with or without kids!! the patio was awesome! BONUS: THE RESIDENT TURTLE, or THE SECURITY is what our kids dubed him. awesome time, THANKS!!!
Bonnie’s place was perfect for my family of 4 (toddler & infant). She graciously changed my arrival dates due to scheduling issues and didn’t bat an eye when I asked if child items might be available (ie. Travel bed, toys, etc) — she went even above the call of duty by leaving my toddler an Easter good or two. Her hospitality is to be recognized and commended — and I’ve stayed in many a Airbnb around the world.
Everything was excellent! Bonnie and Pam had good communication. Check in and check out was easy and clear instructions. Their place is kid friendly and the front porch was a relaxing area. Everything was clean and convenient. The house was cozy and small, but comfortably fit 6 people. The only thing I wanted to note is that the barn doors lead to the main house, but it is blocked off and we had no problem with it whatsoever. Overall, our experience was amazing and they went over the top to make sure we had an excellent stay, and we did.

Ours is a quiet but very friendly neighborhood. While having coffee, or other beverages on the front porch, you might see a number of people passing by. Most will wave and greet you.
There is a Sprouts clause by as well as Arco and 7-11s for gas and snacks. There. Are a few trolley station nearby if you don’t choose to drive. A few parks are very close with picnic tables and playgrounds. Lemon Grove offers many terrific restaurants: The Lemon Grove Bistro, Cali Comfort (BBQ), Lidos, El Pollo Grill, Nandos, Chef John, Giradino’s, and more.
If you don’t want to drive, the trolley is nearby. It can take you from Downtown, Mission Valley, Fashion Valley, and even to East County. More lines are being added all the time. I have provided maps of them in the Air BnB notebook. It is an easy drive to Sea World, the Zoo, Downtown, Shopping centers, and even getting to Julian for the quaint town and fabulous apple days and pies.

I was born and raised in San Diego. The weather is incredible. I love baking and try to provide a sweet treat for the guests. I am a grandmother of 8 and a retired teacher. If you let me know your Children's ages, I try to add a playpen, stuffed animals, toys, sidewalk chalk, books, games, and movies for them, the front yard is perfect for kids to romp around in. In the spring, Rhett loves to roam the yard and greet our guests.
