This location is five minutes away from Scio, a small town consisting of a grocery store, gas station, post office and a few local shops. About 15 minutes away is the city of Stayton (population 15,000), which has many options for food, groceries and whatever else you might need. The property is central to many locations for day trips – Salem, Portland, Eugene, Silver Falls State Park near Silverton for hiking and waterfalls, Newport or Lincoln City on the coast, Detroit for boating and fishing and Sisters and Bend in the high desert to name a few.
If you’re into country drives, there’s a covered bridge about two miles from the property that is one of six on a tour route of local covered bridges.
There are neighbors on each side and across the street from this property, but we're spaced apart such that they aren't noticed. Other than the occasional sounds of outdoor property maintenance work, the most you'll be aware of the neighbors is when someone drives up or down the driveway next to the pasture that goes to a house tucked back on a hill where it can't be seen.

You'll need a car to get around here, because it's a rural setting and nothing is within easy walking distance.
