Dear Mick and Celia: When we travel, we choose a place as base camp for doing things and for resting, and that was our intention when we chose Anchors Aweigh in Stanley. Now we know, and we want you to know, that it was much more than that: it was our home. In addition to the design and functionality, we delighted in the apartment’s details, like the bed and the sheets, waking up every morning to the view of the harbor, seeing the plants and flowers each time we came up the path to our door, the books!, the plates, glasses, tupperware, dishwasher, etc. in the kitchen, watching movies while lounging on the couch. We slept and rested perfectly every night. We also appreciate your recommendations for places to visit, and we had great fun with the e-bikes. You were extremely attentive and generous. Without a doubt, this is the place to which we will return and which we will recommend to others. Thank you for the moments we shared together, and for everything. Martha y Mariano

One of the best properties I stayed at, with amazing hosts, and definitely the place to return to in the Falklands. The places truly shines, it is brand new and stylish. To me it looks like a top option for Stanley given how the Internet works there. It is not like on the continent where pretty much everywhere it runs smoothly, but the system at this place is clearly superior to the other one used in the islands. One just needs to be aware of the limitations of a somewhat remote location in the Atlantic. It takes about 15 minutes of pleasant walk to get to the center of Stanley and about 10 minutes to get to the bigger supermarket, in the other direction. Logistics are really easy. Celia and Mick are very nice people, the apartment is part of their house, just accessed independently, thus one can have full privacy yet with help next door. Highly recommended.

Lieve Celia en Mick, wat hebben jullie een prachtige plek gemaakt, waar je je meteen thuisvoelt! Pure luxe, maar vooral jullie warme persoonlijkheden maakte het helemaal voor ons. Hour plane was delayed, and we arrived 10 hours later (midnight) Celia & Mick were waiting for us with great disposition and a free hot meal for us after 19 hours trip. During the entire trip, both were available for consultations and advice on what to do. They help us to rent a car and make sure that we were safe during the entire adventure. We did not have phone Conexion so Mick provided us with his own SIMS card to ensure that we can get help if necessaire when driving outside of Stanley. They help us to safe money booking in advance our buss from the airport to their property and point out where to eat and do shopping. They have electricals bikes for renting, hardy recommended to have fun and enjoy places close to the house. We will recommend them 100%
