A private space surrounded by nature with all the comforts of home. Come enjoy a peaceful stay, within a 12 minute drive to beautiful Nova Scotia beaches, and great hiking trails. Located 35 minutes from Halifax Stanfield Airport, and 30 minutes from historic Halifax, we offer an oasis away from the hustle and bustle, amidst the beauty that Nova Scotia has to offer. Located in beautiful Porters Lake, Nova Scotia, we are located at the end of a quiet street with 14 acres to call our own, surrounded by woods, nature and a small stream. You can enjoy humming birds, squirrels, birds, frogs and the occasional deer. There are a few walking trails we have worn in at the end of our property. They aren’t properly marked yet, but we’re hoping to get that up and running soon. Our backyard is slowly transforming into a park, we have a large greenhouse that produces three crops through spring, summer & fall and our front yard is a work in progress. We raise our own chickens and turkeys in our coop during the summer. We love spending time at our home, and hope that you enjoy your stay here. We have slowly been renovating our guest suite that has a full kitchen (stove, oven, microwave, fridge, sink, toaster oven, blender, coffee maker), a three piece bathroom and in-suite laundry. We have worked hard to make the space feel comfortable with a beach décor and soothing colours. We have a queen bed, and twin bunk beds. Also a couch, but not ideal for sleeping. This naturally cool space is equipped with a heat pump that will provide air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter. We have a 55 inch smart TV to log into any of your streaming services. The guest space is completely separate from our living space, however we do share a driveway. We ask that guests park to the left and do not block the garage door.
