Welcome to Sunshine Cottage, your ultimate seaside escape in Orewa! This 3-bedroom cottage is the perfect destination for family or friends seeking a peaceful retreat, just minutes from the beach. Our charming cottage features 3 comfortable bedrooms, 3 toilets, 1 bathroom, a kitchen, dining area and lounge, plus a balcony and outdoor area, providing ample space for families or groups of friends up to 6 people. The bedrooms include a master bedroom with a King bed, a room with 2 King singles and a room with a bunk – that also features king singles. The cottage offers plenty of space for relaxing and unwinding after a day at the beach – including a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious open-plan living and dining area and an outdoor area with astro turf grass, perfect for year round play. The house also has a small desk for working from home, fast working wifi and a TV in the lounge with access to FreeToAir channels and our Netflix account. The kitchen has a coffee machine that takes pods, plus an Air Fryer so you can make quick and easy meals. Step outside and enjoy the sunshine in our large outdoor area, complete with a spacious balcony with plenty of seating and an umbrella, plus a grass area with a herb garden. There are 2 parking spaces available for 1 car inside and 1 car outside, so you won't have to worry about finding a spot on the street. In our garage you’ll also find a washing machine, dryer and clothes horse (one hinge is broken!) - plus a selection of beach towels and a beach umbrella! Best of all, our cottage is just a short 3-minute walk to the beach, where you can enjoy a swim, sunbathe, or take a stroll along the picturesque coastline. To maximise your enjoyment we also have access to Stand Up Paddle board (my favourite way to enjoy Orewa’s calm waters) and boogie boards. Let us know in advance if you want to use these. If traveling with kids, we have a portacot, high chair, toys, puzzles and even beach toys too. You are spoiled for choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants in the main village, just a quick ten minute walk along the beach or road, or a 3 minute drive away.

먼저 위치가 끝내주게 좋았습니다. 환상적인 바닷가가 걸어서 나가면 바로 보였고 10분 거리에 모든 편의시설이 다 있었습니다. 보드게임, 비치타월 등을 준비 해 놓은 세심한 배려가 감사했습니다. 또한 호스트 섀넌은 모든 요청에 즉시 친절하게 응답하여 문제를 해결 해 주었습니다. 한달동안 우리 가족은 이 꿈같은 곳에서 잊지못할 휴가를 보냈습니다. 다시 방문하고 싶습니다.
Great place! Felt right at home for us (family of 5 adults). Shannon was very responsive and extremely helpful during our stay. She was in the area during our stay and stopped by by when we had issues with the TV to try to help fix. Location is also really great, its just a short 5 min walk to the beach! There's a korean restaurant nearby run by a family of koreans with REALLY GOOD korean food too!
Such a bright, lovely space to stay. It felt very open and comfortable. Rooms were large and clean. We cooked in both nights and the kitchen was great with everything we needed. Large space for outdoor or indoor dining. It is walkable to restaurants if you choose and to the grocery store. We did not have a car and that was fine. The beach is only a 4 minute walk and is has beautiful sand and is quite shallow-would be great for kids. Beach towels provided. Safe, quiet neighborhood. Shannon was so kind and responsive with anything we needed. A shuttle can be arranged to the Aukland airport, It was reasonable and convenient.

Orewa is a charming coastal community 30 minute from downtown Auckland. The impressive sandy beach is three kilometres long and a favourite with families, swimmers, sunbathers and kite surfers and given its length, a great beach for joggers and walkers too.
From Sunshine Cottage you can easily walk to the beach (3 minutes) and the main town (8 minutes), however there is ample parking throughout Orewa.
