We enjoyed a great long weekend in this lovely new lodge, the setting is quiet with great access to walks including close to the canal and two pubs within easy walking distance. The location meant it was peaceful and quiet yet not too far to shops in Ashby if there is anything you have forgotten. Two good size double bedrooms, beds with firm mattresses and good quality bed linen. A great bathroom with a fab shower - slight let down with small bath towels and no hand towel in the bathroom. Great sized kitchen and comfortable sitting area with a good smart TV. Outside had a paved patio area with chairs and a table - would be lovely in better weather All in all we would recommend

We arrived in the dark which made locating the cabins difficult, but host replied immediately when we asked for assistance. Would recommend arriving during day light hours, site is very dark, with no lighting on pathway to the cabin from the car parking area. The cabin was beautiful, spacious and very clean. Ample heating and great water pressure. Pack light though, as limited storage in the bedrooms. It was a perfect retreat and very peaceful. We would definitely stay there again.
