Refer to the Layout Pictures of Each Floor for better understanding of the property. 10 Rooms Our charming heritage, fully furnished, rooms are all equipped with all modern amenities, cedarwood floors, handcrafted furniture, carved wooden ceilings and locally woven Kashmiri textiles. We also have quarters available for domestic staff. We have 7 standard double rooms, 2 on the ground floor, 3 on the first floor and 2 on the second floor. This is a standard room. We have 1 deluxe suite and 2 deluxe family suites as well. We also offer 3 apartments on the ground, first and second floors, each equipped with its own bedrooms with ensuite baths, living and dining rooms, and fully equipped modern kitchens. MEALS -------- BREAKFAST: Continental breakfast (tea, coffee, milk, juice, fruit, bread, butter, jam, eggs to order, cereals and porridge) will be served from 8.30 to 10am on the Ground floor dining room. Service will end by 10am. If there is not enough place, do feel free to sit out in the front porch or garden. If you need breakfast earlier, please let us know what time you would like it. OR Indian Breakfast If you have a request for an Indian vegetarian breakfast, please inform the staff the day before at breakfast or by 12 noon. No last minute requests will be possible. Our choices for an Indian breakfast are any one of the following — upma or poha or parathas with dahi or girda (local flatbread) or puri aloo/channa. This will be served along with tea, coffee, milk, fruit, juice, bread, butter and jam. We will be unable to entertain requests for any other dishes. DINNER: We offer a limited vegetarian Indian dinner upon request (one dal or curry, two vegetables, dahi raita, salad, rice and roti. Dessert only if requested) @ Rs 650/head for adults and Rs 450/head including taxes for children below 3 years old. The order for dinner is to be placed by 10am on the same day. No non vegetarian food is to be cooked in our kitchens. A list of suggested restaurants that deliver, for dine in or takeaway are on the next page. You are welcome to get cooked non vegetarian food from outside. TEA/ COFFEE Tea and coffee trays are provided for in the kitchen on each floor for your convenience at any time of the day. Do help yourself as often as you like. LINEN CHANGE & ROOM CLEANING Fresh linen is provided every 4 days in keeping with conserving water and power. The beds are made and rooms cleaned every day. LAUNDRY Should you wish to wash or iron your clothes, a washing machine and 100% tumbledryer are in the kitchen of the 1st floor. An iron and ironing board are provided in the utility room near the reception area. Please ask the staff to show you how to operate the machines and then do operate them yourself as our staff is busy with other tasks. **Requesting everyone to please do not ask the staff to do your laundry. INTERNET We have free high speed wifi internet access on the premises. POWER CUTS Srinagar has frequent power cuts at any time. However, our inverters allow you to use minimal lights during that period. We regret the inconvenience caused and request you to please switch off all extra lights and keep the minimum number of lights on till the power is back. You will not be able to use heavy electricals like hot water geysers, microwaves, washing machines, irons and TVs during a power cut. ENTRANCE The front and back entrances of the house will be locked after 7pm. If you will be out and returning after 7pm, please call us to open the main door for you. ALCOHOL We do not serve any alcohol but you may bring and consume your own. SMOKING Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere in the house. You may smoke outdoors. NOISE LEVELS We request you to please be sensitive to other guests by not playing loud music as sound carries in old houses especially at night.
