Monale is a pretty village in the lower Monferrato area located 200 meters above sea level, in the province of Asti, spread over an area of ​​910 hectares and has a population of about 1000 inhabitants. It is 50 minutes from Turin, 38 minutes from Alba (Langhe) and 15 minutes from Asti. Our farmhouse is located within the Valle Andona and Valle Botto Regional Nature Reserve and about 20 minutes from the WWF Valmanera nature reserve. Area renowned for its food and wine and landscape itineraries. Rich in castles such as the Scarampi Castle, included in the system of "Castelli Aperti" of Lower Piedmont and the Bastita which today appears in the form of a seventeenth-century building overlooking the town. It dates back to the early fourteenth century, when it was built as a rustic wooden fort, and then gradually assumed the characteristics of a castle, inhabited by the best inhabitants of Monale. Naturally, Monferrato is the homeland of good wine. The main DOCs of the area are: Barbera del Monferrato, Barbera Casalese, Grignolino d'Asti, Malvasia di Casorzo, Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, Monferrato Casalese Cortese, Gabiano, Rubino di Cantavenna.

You can arrive at our house by plane at the Turin-Caselle airport (61 km) or in Cuneo at the Levaldigi airport (76 km) and by renting a car you will have the freedom to visit both Monferrato and the Langhe. With your car, traveling along the Turin - Asti or Turin - Piacenza (the entrance to the motorway is just a few kilometers from here) there is the toll booth at the entrance to the motorway 5 km from here.
At home there are bicycles that can be useful for getting around.

Our house is also located at the beginning of the Valle Andona, Valle Botto and Val Grande special nature reserve, which is a regional reserve that extends in the north-western part of the municipality of Asti. It was created above all to safeguard the paleontological heritage, made up of shells, corals and fossil remains, including marine and terrestrial vertebrates. It is part of the protected areas of Asti. Here you can go hiking and cycling.
