A charming retreat in an historic manor house in central Brittany. The Sage room is located on the first floor, and is named for its soothing colour palette. With a king size four poster bed and ensuite complete with walk-in shower, this room is both peaceful and luxurious. The sage room is set in what was once the sumptuous dining room, with generous proportions, a high beamed ceiling, ornate stone fireplace and detailed wood panelling. 2 other guest rooms available, see other listings. The rooms are light and spacious, with high ceilings and beautifully large windows. Each room has been individually designed with care and attention, breathing life, light and colour. Three ensuite guest rooms range over the first and second floors, with wonderful views out onto the tranquil garden setting. The dining room on the ground floor is the perfect place to breakfast, with the morning sun filtering in through the windows, and the south west facing terrace is a wonderful spot to enjoy a leisurely evening meal before retiring inside for a peaceful night's rest.

Wir konnten hier komplett entspannen und haben mehr als wohl gefühlt. Anoushka ist super nett und hilfsbereit und gibt viele wertvolle Tipps für die Umgebung, je nachdem, worauf man Lust hat. Sie kümmert sich alles, das Frühstück ist sehr sehr lecker und selbstgemacht. Auch das Abendessen, was man bei Bedarf von ihr bekommt, schmeckt super und ist mit vielen regionalen und selbstangebauten Zutaten versehen! Für einen Urlaub in der Bretagne die perfekte Unterkunft mit der perfekten Gastgeberin. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!!
We had a wonderful stay for 4 nights at the lovely Manoir Caché in Merdrignac. The house is beautifully renovated and surrounded by lush gardens that invite you to stroll around and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. We stayed in the Sage Room, which was very spacious and had a great comfortable bed. The room was tastefully decorated, combining classic charme with modern luxury. Anoushka was a perfect host and created a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast with local products and fruits from the garden was the perfect start to the day before exploring the beautiful places around Brittany. One night we had an exquisite three course vegetarian dinner cooked by Anoushka. All together this is a beautiful place with a lovely host that we heartily recommend. Thank you Anoushka!

Merdrignac is a small Breton town, with more to it than first meets the eye. The centre of town is host to boulangeries, butchers, flower shops, a local pharmacie, a beauty parlour, hair salons and a superU supermarché. The Central Bar offers a decent plat du jour for lunch, and outside seating. L’Espirit Italien has delicious homemade pizzas and lasagnes. There is a small market every Wednesday.

Like most who make that decision, I was looking for a new adventure and a different pace of life. I found the Manoir, and I immediately fell in love with its graceful lines, unusual features and fascinating garden. I saw myself sitting on the terrace in the evening sunshine.
