We have lived in Suwannee County for over 30 years and find it to be wonderfully charming, the people are caring and giving.
Since we are so very far from even a small town, this place adds a whole new meaning to RURAL. No traffic noise, No police/fire/ambulance sirens, no jets. You will lots of birds, occasionally the crop duster spraying fields, sometimes farm equipment. Even less often you will hear the military aircraft from bases in this area flying around.
Let's be honest...we live in the country. There are wild animals and critters around. You will see or hear lizards, geckos, frogs, spiders. There also may be mice, snakes, hawk, eagles, possums, racoons, coyote, bobcat, panther, bear, and lots of deer. A word of caution, almost everything that is outside wants to be inside. If you leave the door open that could very well happen. We do our best to keep critters out, but you must assist and be careful and vigilant at all times. Never leave pet food out 24 hours a day. Never leave garbage out.

There is no public transportation here. Biking is popular and there are several awesome bike/walking trains nearby, but you must have a vehicle.
