Guest suite is located in our home on 23 acres in historic Fincastle, VA (est. 1772), Our rustic, cedar/stone home is perched at the end of a wooded ridge, with a breathtaking view of rolling farmland & Blue Ridge Mountains. The suite shares a common entrance. If you're in the area for an event, passing through, or just looking for a quiet getaway, you'll be conveniently located just 15 min from Roanoke, and the Appalachian Trail. Shuttle & a 50A RV hook up available. Your (360 sf) suite includes: a bedroom with a Queen-sized bed, dresser, and closet space; a private den with sleeper sofa, leather recliner, smart TV, mini-fridge; and a private full bath. The suite is located at the opposite end of the home from the hosts and is partitioned from the great room/kitchen for added privacy. We are a pet-and-smoke-free home and allergy friendly (thanks to our own allergies). Linens are washed with fragrance/dye-free detergent, and fragrance-free dryer sheets. No chemical air-fresheners, scented candles or other common irritants used. Let us know if you have particular allergy or dietary needs. While we don't "instant book," we try to be very responsive and last minute bookings are welcomed. Have you stayed with us before? Ask about having the whole house to yourself for the weekend (Fri-Sun). Host suite not included.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Parke & Jennifer’s beautiful home! The place is so nice - both beautiful and comfortable. Our favorite spot was the back deck and screened-in porch with an AMAZING view! Parke and Jennifer are very friendly - absolutely great hosts. We felt really welcome there - they make you feel right at home. Highly recommend waking up early to catch the gorgeous sunrise - it’s an image that will leave a permanent, peaceful imprint in your mind and your soul! We will definitely be back!

Parke and Jennifer are truly outstanding hosts. They made sure we could get in easily. They welcomed us, and encouraged us to enjoy the deck view, as well as the suite set aside for guests. They took the time to briefly chat with us and tell us the history of the area, while also making sure to give us our privacy after a long day’s drive. Their breakfast was spectacular, especially the coffee cake! My very discriminating husband loved the coffee! The bed was beautifully made. The towels were plush and large. We look forward to returning. One of the very best AirBnB experiences!
Jennifer and Parke are fantastic hosts, their property is exquisite. The views and the locale are so much better than the pictures. This was truly 1 of our best AirBnb experiences.
Jennifer and Parke really took us in with great warmth and hospitality. Their place is comfortable and amazing. We really enjoyed our stay and cannot speak highly enough of how they looked after our stay.

The gated private home sits 3/10 mile off the road on 23 acres of wooded property.
Property is gated and guests will be given a temporary gate code to access. Guest access to the home is via keypad entry, code will be provided prior to check in.
Note: there are 6 steps to get into the home, and it is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
Driveway: Our driveway winds its way up our hill for 3/10 mi. We have never had any issues getting cars of all types/sizes up. 4WD not necessary, but if you have a truck with an empty bed, you might throw it in 4WD just to keep from spinning those back tires in the gravel since you'll be light in back.
If you're pulling a trailer, camper or boat, you should not have an issue getting it up the hill, though there is a sharp turn halfway up. We routinely haul a 20-foot trailer with Kubota tractor loaded on it with no problems, and the prior owners had a large RV. Plenty of room up top for you to turn around.

Jennifer and I moved to Fincastle in 2018. I'm originally from Petersburg, and Jen is a native Roanoker. After 30+ years in law enforcement, I am semi-retired, still working part-time now for the state. Jen works for a large construction management firm. We love all things outdoors and enjoy kayaking, fishing, visiting local wineries, listening to live music and just doing life with friends and family.
