Modest daytime events possible by arrangement This welcoming Arts and Crafts family home space is incredibly thoughtfully curated with it's 16 plus 2 guests in mind, from dining to relaxing to playing areas indoors and out. We are located in the hamlet of Whitewell, on the Shropshire, Cheshire and Welsh borders between Shrewsbury, Chester and Wrexham, just 10 mins from Whitchurch railway station. A gated driveway with plentiful parking leads to the front door. The impressive hallway with galleried landing greets you and leads through to the other areas of the house. The huge open plan kitchen, dining and living room flows out through double doors into the garden, overlooking the grounds and pool. It has an informal dining area, ideal for breakfast or light meals as well as a large breakfast bar with bar stools, ideal to chat over nibbles while preparing meals on the aga or to feed the children at. It flows through to the open plan lounge and dining area so has all you need to relax, chat eat, watch TV and prepare and enjoy meals together, all in one space. For evening dining or more formal meals there is a grand dining room, seating 16 guests, served by an additional large catering kitchen which is also well placed for the pool area. This can be used by our guests a second overflow kitchen with additional fridges and ovens. It can also be taken over by private caterers of your choice who can prepare and serve meals for you without being in your personal space ( we have some excellent recommendations ) After a day of fun in the pool, hot tubs, gardens with huge trampoline, table tennis and garen bar, our guests can retired to their private rooms, dress for dinner and meet downstairs or on the patio for a glass or two of pre dinner bubbles and then wander through to the dining room to enjoy an evening of being spoiled. Your chef will prepare your favourite sumptuous or simple bespoke dinner, whilst serving you all in style in the elegant dining room or out by the pool if the evening is mild, while a hostess keeps your glasses topped up with your very own wines. Alternatively the pool area has a heated breeze house with TV and wifi that seats 16 as well as a dining area for 16 guests so you may prefer to dine alfresco in the summer months. You can then retire after supper for coffee or a naughty night cap by the woodburner, a game or two of pool or cards or a good film in the movie room or maybe a sing-song around the piano ( that can also play itself !) maybe whilst the hostess clears and prepares the main dining room ready for breakfast the following morning. The private dining option is optional as we have two well equipped kitchens but is a real treat for everyone at a fraction of the cost of a restaurant. This can be booked as a one off event or for your whole stay on a fully or part catered basis. All 8 bedrooms are different and unique. Each has wighted high end king sized beds ( 6) and superking sized ( zip and link ) beds ( 2) with sumptuous top of the range mattresses, duvets and pillows. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom and the two deluxe bespoke shepherds huts share their own large bathroom in a separate stunning private garden area near to the hot tubs. Outside through the garden there is a 17 metre heated swimming pool with divin gboardm deep and shallow end ( gated and covered so very safe) This area has it’s own large breeze house, seating 16, with wifi, TV, heaters and a covered BBQ area which also seats 16. In another area of the garden, there is a stretch tented garden bar area with mood lighting, 2 hot tubs, table tennis and fire pit. It is the perfect place to spend the afternoons, after a few lengths of the pool or a game of croquet or more energetically table tennis or even more energetically a session of being a kid again on the top of the range Acon Air Sport HD trampoline. We work with an excellent team that can be booked at really good rates, trusted babysitters, a pool lifeguard if required and a wonderful team of therapists who bring their delux treatments and massage therapy to your room by appointment. There really is something for everybody from the pool table to the hot tubs to the swimming pool and the huge trampoline and ping pong, fire pits under the stars and the exterior and interior high quality dining areas as beautiful walks directly from the front door.. we can even provide your own own croupier to deal black jack, roulette and poker to create your very own fun casino evening.
