Firstly, Dirk was a great host! He was super responsive to our queries and very helpful. The location was beautiful, quiet and relaxing. We do understand that the rate was cheap, so we weren't expecting too much. However, the actual location should have been communicated to us earlier to avoid wasting our time driving around. We weren't told about the night time alarm system on the farm. The gate on the farm road was dangerous (covered in rusty barbwire), with no proper latch. We were unable to lock the front door at night. We could not get the inside locking mechanism to line up properly. We think the gas bottle may have been empty, and it would have been nice to be provided with sheets for the 2nd bed/couch. AND lastly, my son was shocked when plugging in a cellphone charger at the electrical point under the TV - very dangerous!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We needed a quiet place to rest and this was exactly what we got. Loved the small pool, we even got to heat the water if we wanted. Loved the openness of the entire place with perfect privacy! We will definitely go again in time to come!

Great overnight spot, and the hosts went above and beyond to help us when we got two flat tyres. Good value for money and peaceful surroundings.
