We loved our stay at Wendy’s house. I honestly can’t comment on our interaction with Cottages.com because we had no interaction with them. However, the owner of the cottage Wendy was brilliant - so hospitable, friendly and an ideal host. Her cottage has so many lovely little touches like bathrobes and really beautiful linens and a basket of treats for us upon arrival. We were so comfortable in her place that the terrible weather didn’t bother us, we were happy to chill and enjoy the cottage and the quiet village. The cottage is very dog friendly and was perfect for our spaniel, he enjoyed watching the horses in the secure garden and was very grateful for the specially provided dog blanket so he could have a snooze on the sofa. The village of Ropsley is lovely but doesn’t have a whole lot to do other than go to the Green Man pub, which is fantastic so this suited us fine! We are looking forward to returning to Wendy’s cottage, we cannot fault our stay and were very sad to leave.

This is a great, little cosy cottage - although for a 1 bedroom, it felt bright & spacious. Wendy was a great host, there to meet us when we arrived in the dark in rotten weather, on hand if we needed her but once installed, she left us to it. Her hamper of local produce was filled with delicious treats too. The cottage was well decorated and kitted out. Good kitchen, handy and well-stocked boot room, comfy sofas and a warm conservatory (even in Feb). The whole house was warm & cosy, the new shower was good and the bedroom very comfortable - we both slept really well. The cottage is well located on the edge of the village with lots of local walks from the door. It's also a good base for exploring Lincolnshire more widely. The cottage was quiet at night but only 5 minutes walk from an excellent local pub. Our dog was welcome too - we were pleased though that a 'no pets in the bedroom' rule applies. There was a secure outside area for him too. A lovely cottage & perfect host. Recommended

The Barn is an ideal, rustic location to stay with the great option of brining along your pooch. Wendy, hostess of the Barn, provides all the amenities to make the Barn feel like a place from home. Visiting the Barn is an absolute essential for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of life. Wendy made great efforts to make herself available if needing to communicate :)

Amazing, it was amazing Perfect place to stay Wendy was a brilliant host and the horses made the stay We had really nice local produce Enjoyed every part We were provided everything we needed, local maps, local information Dog friendly walks literally outside the front door More than accommodating for parking vehicls I was in and out for work No problems, loved every minute of the stay.
