Stay in a former cattle house previously used for housing calves, and recently converted to a cosy 2 bed farmhouse. Located between the hills of North Tipperary beside an old church, walk the old roads and hills, visit our organic garden behind the Calf House, or explore further afield such as the Devil's Bit, Lough Derg or Cashel. Located little over an hour from Shannon or Cork airports, and two hours from Dublin, the Calf House is situated on a working farm in North Tipperary. The building is over 100 years old was previously used to house calves, horses and greyhounds, but was recently converted to a snug 2 bed farmhouse. It contains a mezzanine with a double bed and views of the farm cattle houses, a double room with a bunk bed, and a kitchen/living room with views of Ileigh Church - built in 1826 - and the surrounding hills. Behind the calf house is an organic garden with potatoes, turnip, carrots, beetroot, peas and more. Take a walk up through the farm to the organic garden, then up to the viewpoint at the top of the hill with panoramic views of 6 different counties. The Calf House is also a good base to explore Lough Derg in the west, located 30 minutes drive away, the Rock of Cashel, located a 30 minute drive to the south, and the Devil's Bit which is 10 minutes to the north.
