Cullen Bay is situated just 7 minutes from the city, perched on the beaches edge and playing host to Darwin's most picturesque Marina. Head out the back gate and you're right on the grassy lawns of Cullen Bay, a hugely popular spot amongst the locals for picnics, as you watch the famous Darwin sunsets. Many great restaurants are available for dine in, or takeaway for your picnic on the grass. Eat A Pizza - a great Italian feast, is next door to the building complex. Grab a pizza and head to the grass as you overlook the beach and enjoy relaxing in the fine, warm weather. Explore the area and walk up the hill and over to Little Mindil, Mindil Beach Casino and the Mindil Beach markets.
Just a short stroll down to Lola's Pergola, a great outdoor pub on the marina, overlooking the boats, it's the ideal spot for everyone. There's kids amusement toys and rides and the popular menu and refreshing selection of beverages, makes it a local hotspot with plenty of atmosphere. Walk along the boardwalk and be treated to a great range of restaurants, such as Greek, Indian, Italian cuisines and great cafes such as The Boathouse plus more to discover.

Darwin is a unique and small city, which can be easily accessed from both ends of the city, be it a decent walk or by hiring a scooter or bike. Simply download the Beam app and set up a profile and you're ready to scoot or ride around Darwin within the ride zones. The Darwin CBD is a 7 minute car ride, or if coming without a vehicle, walking around Cullen Bay is a great and easy way to see the sights. There are some beautiful walks along the boardwalk marina side and footpath walks up the hill of Marina Blvd and along Mindil Beach, connecting to East Point. Local Taxi companies and ride share apps are also available for modes of transport, along with the Darwin Bus link, which operates throughout Darwin and outer region and timetables and bus stop locations can be found on the NT Government website.
