The Lake Effect house was beautiful! The pictures and description doesn't do it justice. It was clean, homey-feeling, spacious, and in a great location. We, as a large family, wanted to be near some springs for our vacation. It was about 30-55 min away from anywhere we needed to go, which we felt was easy to get to! We brought out kayaks and fishing poles and fished in the shallow waters and kayaked around Lake Weir. The house was very comfortable and had many amenities: laundry, full kitchen, hot water, and various cleaning products. We also thoroughly enjoyed the tv on the porch when it rained all day and we couldn't explore the area! We'd definitely stay here again!

The Lake Effect was a great place to bring my wife, 3 kids and 2 parents. There was plenty of space for all. The bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas were very clean and that was important to us. The back porch area is where it’s at though! There’s a TV out there to stream Spotify music and Roku tvs inside for movies/TV. There are some things to go and do around the lake, but we just wanted to relax and do nothing for the week and that’s exactly what we did. The lake is swimmable, but keep in mind that the doc is off limits. I didn’t read closely enough to realize that initially, so if you want to take the kids fishing you will need to wade into the water, cast from the shore or rent a boat. I would also recommend bringing a blower to clear off the oak debris on the back deck. The host did offer to have the deck blown off for us, but we were just able to sweep it daily with a broom. The host was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this listing!

Overall the place was great. Only complaint was that after we booked the place we found out that the dock was off limits. The house has a lot of comfortable beds.

Amazing property with amazing lake access and view!! Home is beautiful, clean, comfortable and perfect for families!! Hosts are extremely responsive and helpful. We will definitely be back in the future!!
