"Camp Villa Villekulla" is our family camp (or cabin) on beautiful Worthley Pond in Peru, Maine. The cabin is 1,200 SF with great outdoor spaces, including a large deck. Camp is 75 minutes from Portland and two hours from the midcoast. Perfect place for downtime or quiet family fun. No parties or group functions. Max of eight people (three bedrooms Queen, two fulls, and two twins (bunkbed)) Please note there is only one bathroom. One well-behaved pet is allowed, with a deposit. Villa Villekulla has four bedrooms, sleeping a total of 6 adults and up to two kids: one queen room, two full rooms, and a bunk room. The adult beds all have new mattresses (as of summer 2022). There is one full bathroom on the main floor, and it has laundry facilities and was completely renovated in 2022. The sunporch runs the length of the house and looks right out on the water. It offers a table for dining or working and a comfortable seating area for games, reading, or napping, no matter the weather. There are two additional dining areas: a picnic table outside on the small deck right next to a Weber 4-burner grill and a Blackstone flat-top grill (perfect for making blueberry pancakes!), and a dining table inside that seats 8. The kitchen has everything you need (oven, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, toaster). Water in the camp is drawn from the pond, so it is not potable/drinkable. You will have several 5-gallon containers of drinkable spring water for your use, and you can refill these easily at the spring, just a minute's drive from the house. The living room is a great place to curl up with a book on a chilly morning in front of the gas fireplace, and there is a window seat (for more reading!) overlooking the road. The cabin sits right on the pond and has a small eating deck and a large deck for swimming, fishing, sunning, and boating (public boat launch on the pond). The pond is immaculate, with a sandy bottom. There are two kayaks (with paddles and life jackets) are available for your use (please note that all water activities are at your own risk). The pond is usually calm and quiet during the week and a bit more active on weekends (mostly pontoon boats). The property also has a hammock and a firepit with beach chairs. Villa Villekulla is a well-appointed but rustic family camp that we hope you will enjoy as much as we do!
