We recently stayed at Tom and Saskia's beautiful farmhouse while tracing our family roots in Ireland. The house, nestled in the peaceful Irish countryside, is a gem. It has been lovingly restored, blending historic charm with modern amenities, including high-end appliances. Tom was a superb host. He provided valuable local recommendations and was always available to answer questions. The property is ideally situated near Castlebar and Westport town; a car is essential for exploring the area. This farmhouse is a perfect base for anyone seeking a tranquil, comfortable stay in Ireland's West coast.

It's quite hard to NOT give Tom a 5 star review. Besides the fact that the house was exactly what we expected Tom himself was a great person. Met us there, told us of all the best local amenities, and answered all of our questions. he also showed us the house, WiFi passwords, how the TV worked. Genuine and really cared. We were close to great spots for food, touring around, etc. TLDR; if you're on the West coast of Ireland, rent this place. You will not be disappointed.

Gorgeous house in a stunning spot. Spacious and very comfortable. The house has been beautifully refurbished with high end appliances and all the home comforts. Thanks so much for hosting us Tom & Saskia. We really appreciated the goodies and local recommendations. Hope to return one day.

Tom and Saskia’s house is a historical building full of character and has been restored sensitively. It is a spacious and quirky design over many levels. It has a lovely garden and lawn with seating areas provided. The log burner in the sitting room adds warmth and character. A holiday with friends, we enjoyed the spaciousness and new kitchen for a much needed relaxing and chilled 4 days. Perfect peace and comfortable beds. Tom very kindly greeted us on our arrival which was very welcome as he attentively helped us work out the layout, keys and appliances. They were very responsive to our questions and helpful with local information. About 30 minutes drive to Knock shrine and Westport town where boat trips are available. 10 minutes to Castlebar. A fairly remote countryside location, beautiful and peaceful.

What an experience and surprise. Needed place for large family group for wedding and don't think we could have found a better location. It was near home, not far from town and right in the middle of the beautiful Irish countryside. Tom was wonderful taking care of all our needs including providing a traditional Irish welcome with brown bread (home made) jams /farm eggs and boutique coffees. The location itself is perfect, not far from local town and but on the side of this small little hill with wonderful nature all arounds us and amazing views. The House well all I can say is (WOW!) A beautifully restored 100+ year old farmhouse with all the touches of staying in a five star Hotel in New York City. Rooms all en-suite with amazing rainfall showers and amazing Bathtub overlooking the green fields in the master bedroom. I can only say Thank you very much to Tom for taking care of me and my family as we celebrated our big day in Ireland and I highly recommend this venue to everyone.
