We had a wonderful stay at The Barn. It was quaint, clean and had everything we need. A stroll away from the pubs and town. Alan even set up a fire pit for our family to use at night. Stunning morning view out of the barn doors

The barn was quaint and rustic and the location was perfect. Unfortunately during our stay, a bathroom sink tap was leaking and this also caused pooling of water on the bathroom floor. Also we had no hot water in the kitchen, making washing dishes difficult.

Alan has created a beautiful and welcoming space, we felt right at home. Very family friendly with a neighbouring park and playground right across the road. The town is a beautiful place to visit, definitely recommend making the trip. Will be sure to book ourselves in for another stay in the future. Thank you Alan

Melrose is a wonderful little Oasis and the perfect base for further exploration into the Flinders or even the Outback itself, but don’t ignore Mount Remarkable and all it has to offer. The town is super friendly - don’t miss a Schnitzel at the North Star where you are made to feel like a local within minutes of arriving. Alan and Louise are wonderful hosts who have lived interesting and varied lives, lots to talk about and lots to do. What more could you ask for. Oh and don’t listen to nay stories about ghosts, it’s all a load of nonsense… probably.
