Welcome to School House in Comberbach. We are a cosy property situated in the heart of a very small village in mid-Cheshire. Our home was built in the 1800's and was originally part of the buildings that made up the local school - hence the name! We are perfectly situated a short drive from the M56 motorway and within walking distance of some of the most beautiful walks in the UK so whatever your visit, we're sure we have just what you need! The private room on offer is a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed which you will not want to get out of! We've tried to make the room as self-sufficient as possible so inside you will find: - Wardrobe and chest of drawers for clothes - Mini fridge - Smart TV with Netflix - Kettle with coffee, tea, sugar and milk - Hairdryer - Board games We also provide towels and dressing gowns and the shared bathroom is immediately outside your bedroom door so it's as good as an en-suite! The view from the bedroom comes courtesy of the beautiful garden belonging to our neighbours. The bathroom has a shower and a bath along with the usual toilet and basin.

Staying with Natalie, Tony and Morello 🐶 was a fantastic experience. Their home is warm, inviting and welcoming. There are lots of special touches in the room I stayed in and the house is lovely. The fridge in my room was really great along with lots of toiletries and all very well furnished. The bathroom is right next door and has an excellent shower. The house is in a very peaceful location and my hosts were so kind and helpful. I felt very relaxed as did my dog Norman! 🐶❤️ Highly recommend the country park nearby for walks. If I’m in the area, definitely stay again.
Natalie and Tony are fantastic hosts and the house is really comfortable and welcoming. Morello is very sweet and we loved meeting her too. Natalie and Tony were really friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. We really appreciated everything and would definitely recommend staying here and will return if need to stay in the area. We are a small village with less than 1,000 people scattered over a relatively small space which gives us our sense of community. Our village has a post office and a glorious pub called the Spinner and Bergamot where you can drink and eat next to a fire in a true country pub.
If you need to get to or from the motorway we are 5-10 minutes from the M56.

Great Budworth
Beautiful historical village with a church, old country pub, and ice cream farm, often used as a filming location for TV dramas.
Marbury
Home of Marbury Park, a beautiful green space perfect for dog walks and idyllic views of the woodlands and mere. A popular stop-off for bird watchers with designated bird hides scattered through the park.
Anderton
The Anderton Boat Lift is a popular tourist attraction and is surrounded by the canal and marina for barges.
Northwich
If you need the shops and restaurants, we're a 10-minute drive to the town centre.
Chester
35 minutes away is the historical city of Chester where you can access designer shops and gourmet restaurants
Other popular villages nearby include Tarporley, Frodsham and Delamere where you can explore forests, walk the countryside or maybe even do a spot of antiquing!
We have no parking at our home but we do have a car park directly opposite used by the villagers for the parish hall and bowling green. If you're taking a trip to Marbury park, this will save the parking charges.
