I loved Mauricio's place. The staff is extremely helpful, kind, the surroundings are just amazing. This was truly a one of a kind stay. I loved everything about it. The internet was cutting in and out at times throughout the day but Mauricio has 3 internet sources and is always willing to help if you have a call to attend to (important for me since I'm a digital nomad, and it's not 100mbps+, was about 30 mbps which I have found to be a factor of my work calls cutting in and out). Because it's nature, keep in mind that you are living in the animals' environment, they are not living in yours. Mosquitoes and all kinds of bugs are around, so take plenty of bug spray. And because the homes aren't completely enclosed, some of those mosquitoes do come inside and have bitten me at night. I would have loved that the net surrounding the bed weren't just confined to the bed, because once I'm in my room and I want the lights on, then I must stay in the bed with the net spread.

Very beautiful peaceful place, attentive hosts. Walking down to the river and free yoga classes almost every day were a lovely addition to our stay.

My partner and I found Selva Minca to be a magical paradise. All the staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and even accommodated flexibly our super late and slightly complicated arrival when we faced trouble with flight cancellations, delays etc. It feels like a little community rather than an anonymous hotel. The food is very nice also, it’s especially a refreshing change to a somewhat basic rural Colombian cuisine ;-) The cabins are located directly in the jungle, so do expect to live and sleep in the jungle with all its relaxing and interesting sounds and animals. We loved it. The whole place truly seemed to care about the eco-tourism idea, not like many other hotels that just use the name but don’t really live by this standard. To get into Minca town, it’s a relaxing 20 minute walk down the main road, or a 5000 COP moto-taxi that only takes around 5 minutes. Also, from Selva Minca, many other hikes are possible, to waterfalls, cocoa farms, etc. We will surely be back!

Fantastic place to stay! Excellent communication with Mauricio and Macarena. They can arrange everything for you.Food was fabulous.I did a nice walkingtour with interesting guide and had a excellent deeptissue massage. I love to come back!

Mauricio and his team were really great. They welcome us and gave instructions and explanations about the area and things to do. They worked hard to solve any issues we had and made us feel at home. They really care! The place is really beautiful and peaceful . In the middle of the forest with tons of birds and leaves. We went to the river and pools - 5 minutes east walk. We definitely recommend!
