The castle was beyond what we were expecting! We used it for a small wedding and the castle + territory worked out beautifully. Inside of it there are a lot of table top games, a small pool table, and a ton of surprises in the castle to explore. The host is extremely responsive and accommodating - they proactively allowed us to check in early. The one thing that I would change about the place is the master bedroom privacy - there is no door between the bedroom and the great hall balcony which makes the bedroom audible. Just an FYI. The house has a working AC, big kitchen with a big fridge, two ovens, and an epic dining room. I would definitely stay here again!
This is an absolutely stunning place to stay, especially if you're a geek in any way. The castle, the dragons, the amazing decor -- it all made it the perfect place for our tabletop gaming weekend. Highly recommended!
My friends and I stayed at this amazing property for some DND. It was an epic experience that I don’t think we will be able to top for a long while. The main hall was the perfect setting for board games, food, and entertainment. It’s out in the forest a bit, but only a quick drive to Duvall or Monroe where there are tons of restaurants and shops. Won’t go wrong renting this property.
We had a lovely time at the castle. We celebrated my girlfriend’s 30th birthday and enjoyed the atmosphere the castle created for a great night of fun! We enjoyed playing dress up with all the costumes provided. Definitely recommend to anyone.
The place was just gorgeous! We celebrated our daughters 13th birthday and dressed up in our costumes and had turkey leg dinner in the great hall. Loved the Juliet Suite balcony and the King Suite is Huge! I easily found the place during the day, take that turn when navigation says or you will pass it. If at night, you might miss the turn. The Hosts were amazing, thoughtful and very responsive. Check-out was so easy! Would love to stay there again!
