We had a lovely stay at Felicities cottage. Two nights from Friday to Sunday with my mum and godmother and her two dogs. The views of the reservoir were beautiful and beyond anything that we could have imagined. It was clear that felicity cared for the animals and her farm. The hot tub was a lovely addition. Though it was a bit exposed, close to the other accommodation, perhaps a wooden fence or something for added privacy? Disappointed the pizza oven was not working, mom made pizza dough especially, but we used the oven in the cottage. If you’re looking for a cute and cosy getaway from city life and want a rural and beautiful place to visit, then I recommend going here. There were notes around the accommodation apologising for peeling paint and it looked like it needed some TLC. We also added the 2.5hr-3hr animal experience onto one of our days, 8am start which involved walking and grooming the animals. The red cow pub in the local village does very good food!

Hard to leave after 3nights, but the stay exceeded expectations and was just want we needed. Cosy, comfortable, shabby chic cottage. 2 adults, school aged kid and small fluffy dog. Somehow our daughter ended up in the slightly larger double bedroom. This room would easily accommodate a cot or childs ready bed on the floor. Kitchen very well equipped for all our needs. Fairy lights over log burner was a nice touch. Wonderful views. Great location, spoilt for walks nearby. A reason to come back, that and we didnt make it to the farm swing or nearby waterfall this time. Hot tub was very relaxing, shame the pizza oven was out of gas and we couldnt get the firepit going to enjoy the smores, but no biggy, pizza was chucked in the cottage oven and we still enjoyed the view. Would highly recommend the animal experience and a stay for small families with kids. Thank you!!! Oh bring slippers for downstairs if you suffer with cold feet like me

Fabulous, secluded and just brilliant to take your mind off the daily grind. Felicity and David were responsive and even let us borrow some books when we ran out. The animals are beautiful and the views are spectacular!

Clean, cosy, well equipped property. Perfect location for walking pen y fan. Plenty of local walks to explore. Nice cycle route to Brecon. Hot tub was much appreciated after a long day of walking. Would recommend

Three nights at Far From was all it took to switch off from work and completely lose track of time! Loved our stay in this breathtaking location. Cottage was clean and cosy, and the hot tub was a dream after a long day's walking in the misty mountains. Felicity couldn't have been a more friendly and considerate host. Thoroughly recommend her meet the animals experience, to fully appreciate the tireless but joy-filled work Felicity and her partner do every day, from dawn to dusk, to care for the many rescued animals that are lucky enough to call Coed Hir their forever home.
