Dragonfly is a beautiful lakefront Adirondack cottage centrally located in the hamlet of Mt. View, NY. This cottage has the best there is to offer for beautiful sunrises, lake and mountain views as well as tons of things to do. Kayaking, boating, fishing, canoeing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing is all right outside your front door. Golfing, downhill skiing, hiking is all within a 10-15 minute drive. If you need more space for a larger family, we have you covered there as well. We have a 2nd Airbnb called Frog Hollow Lakefront/snowmobile cabin that is approximately 30 steps from Dragonfly's front door. Frog Hollow has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, a kitchen/living room area, a 1 car garage that can be used for storage of gear. This home is absolutely breathtaking! The photos listed don’t even give it justice. Although it rained most of our weekend we still enjoyed ourselves. The house was very clean! Bed was huge and very comfortable! You can fish right from the porch! Truly amazing and we cannot wait to go back for another trip! Thank you again!

The cabin was great! Everything inside was in working order and was in need of no repair. We had everything we needed for our stay. Definitely would stay again.

The location is beautiful, and the house is cozy! Barbara responded quickly when we had trouble with the gas fireplace, and her husband came right over to help. We plan to go back here again!

beautiful lakeside cabin with kayaks and a canoe. very pleasant to have meals on the patio and admire the lake and surrounding mountains. the open kitchen and living room area is roomy, the kitchen has everything you need to cook a good meal. even though there are other cabins on either side, it felt quite peaceful and private. we also enjoyed the fire pit at night.

Mt. View is a tiny little hamlet that is centrally located to explore the many destinations that this area has to offer. The hamlet is quiet and peaceful with lake and mountain views. There are two lakes: Mt. View Lake and Indian Lake that are connected by the channel. Both lakes have a lot to offer. Canoeing, Kayaking, boating, water skiing, fishing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing are right outside your front door.
Hiking Debar Mountain is only a few minutes drive. Azure Mountain and St. Regis Mountain is a 40 minute drive. The High Peaks are a little over on hour drive.
Meacham Lake, Deer River Flow, Spitfire and Osgood Pond are 30 minutes away or less for more excellent fishing, boating, canoeing and kayaking.
Prefer downhill skiing? Titus Mountain Family Ski Center is a 10 minute drive. Whiteface Ski Center is about 1:15 minutes away.
Is golfing your thing? You are 15 minutes from the Malone Golf Course. One of New York's best golf courses.
Shopping? We've got you covered there as well. Lake Placid is about an hour away, Plattsburgh is a little more than an hour and Saranac Lake is 40 minutes. Explore all Lake Placid, Plattsburgh and Saranac Lake have to offer: shopping, skiing, restaurants and a whole lot more.
If you are looking for day trips the Canadian border is 30 minutes away and Burlington, VT is a 2 hour drive. Or take the scenic ferry across Lake Champlain to Burlington.
