Mariano was a great host, helpful and communicative. The Trullo house by nature is basic but comfortable and in a lovely setting with lots of outdoor areas to eat, read, lose yourself and relax by the pool. The location is maybe a little remote but a good base for visiting many of the other local attractions a short drive away.

This is a little piece of heaven. From the garden, the pool, the comfortable bed and pillows. All the amazing touches like the green glass art in the garden, to the typical art of the region. Beyond helpful with getting our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Massimo, to the Vet for a minor ear infection. I am already planning to return here. Amazing place!! So romantic.

We spent a fantastic long weekend in Bari exploring most of what was to offer in the area. The property is off the beaten track and located within reasonable driving distance from most places - 45 mins from the airport, 25 mins from Polignano, 15 mins from the Grotte di Castellana, 20 mins from Alberobello. We arrived and were met by Mariano and Antonella, both of whom were very welcoming. They showed us around the property which was cosy and you couldn't get a more authentic Trullo. Tastefully renovated a few years ago, it had everything we needed. Our hosts provided a fully stocked fridge with milk, juices, water, local beers and a basket full of breakfast goodies. The bed was extremely comfortable in the studio area and extra bedding was provided for the chillier nights - we are English and brought the rain with us the first day. The bathroom was lovely and had everything we needed in terms of toiletries and fluffy towels. Our only criticism (minor one) is that we found the shower wasn't hot all the time. We can only suspect this is because this was either run off a timer or was solar powered. The outside area was delightful. We didn't get to sit outside much or use the pool as we arrived at a particularly unusual time when the weather was unsettled and averaged 22c across the 4 days during the daytime. We would highly recommend staying at Mariano's and Antonella's for a truly authentic experience!

Magnifique séjour dans un endroit de rêve. Idéalement situés dans cette région des Pouilles les trullis sont superbes. Merci à Mariano et à Antonella de nous avoir si bien reçus et renseignés sur la région, les visites à faire, les bons restaurants et même où acheter de l'huile d'olive. Pour les familles avec enfants il est cependant bon de savoir qu'il n'y a pas vraiment 2 chambres mais une pièce avec deux endroits de couchage bien séparés.
